Cornerstone Clinic For Women - Main Location

When I found out my husband and I were expecting for the first time, I heard so many positive things about Cornerstone. I have had the best experiences with office staff, nurses, and providers since becoming a patient! When I mentioned the new lump on my neck to Dr. Amaya at a routine OB visit, I expected her to tell me to follow up with a primary care provider. To my surprise, she fast-tracked labs and a specialist referral, which led to a Hodgkins lymphoma diagnosis at 22 weeks pregnant. Because of Dr. Amaya’s care, I will have the opportunity to see my baby grow up—and that is something I will forever be grateful for.

So, my main issue is with the wait time. I've been coming here since I was 17, I'll be 42 in Feb. My appointment wasn't at 11 so I arrived at 10:30, I can hear everyone out there giggling and carrying on like im not just sitting in a very blank room waiting. I have no issue with the staff, they're pretty awesome but if yal know im not gonna be see until an HOUR after my actual appointment time then why make me sit in these uncomfortable chairs just waiting?!?! Every since Lisa left things just haven't been the same, I wonder if thats why she left?!?! Anywho...

We had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with this clinic. My wife is currently going through a miscarriage, and the fetus has not passed. She has begun getting sick and was advised she needs a D&C. Our insurance was dropped unexpectedly during this crisis, and we explained multiple times that we were willing and able to pay out of pocket. Despite this, the staff was rude, dismissive, and made it very clear they “didn’t want to deal with us.” We were told we weren’t urgent and that there were no appointments available, even given the circumstances. After going back and forth, they finally agreed to see her—but only after speaking to us in an extremely cold and unprofessional manner and demanding we bring a check, again very rudely. No family going through pregnancy loss should ever be treated this way. Compassion, professionalism, and basic human decency were completely lacking.

I would give a ZERO if that were an option. Between prescriptions not being called into the pharmacy in a timely manner and the routine practice of pushing patients to urgent care because the clinic “can’t fit them in,” the experience has been consistently frustrating. Not returning calls or portal messages is a big issue as well. I have been a patient at this clinic for over 20 years and have given them multiple chances to improve their level of care and customer service. My last straw was seeing Ashcraft and C. Fowler - both NP who were so dismissive. Unfortunately, the staff has remained unfriendly and lacking in compassion. After four pregnancies and years of loyalty, I have decided to switch to an entirely new clinic. I am deeply disappointed and would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

I was nervous of the first visit and Cornerstone from checking in to checkout put me at ease, especially Heather. She was thorough and explained to me what she saw and provided a treatment plan to follow. I was very satisfied with the friendliness and professionalism throughout the whole process.
