Why we exist

Our mission

No BS Med Spa Reviews is an independent, human-led research project. We never accept payment to rank any business. Listings are free for every verified medical spa in the United States.

The industry has grown to over $22 billion annually with more than 10,000 providers (AMSA 2025), yet no single directory provides comprehensive coverage with transparent ranking. We aggregate verified provider data, publish algorithmic rankings with the formula public, and produce factual procedure pricing guides — all free to consumers, no paywall, no email gate.

Who we are

Editorial team

No BS Med Spa Reviews is operated by an editorial team responsible for data sourcing, content production, and integrity of provider listings. Procedure and pricing content is reviewed by a panel of aesthetic medicine practitioners against current AAD consumer education guidelines and FDA regulatory status before publication.

We do not invent named studies or fabricate quotes. Statistics shown on service pages are sourced from ASPS annual procedural reports and the AMSA State of the Industry survey. All sourcing is documented in methodology.

No BS Med Spa Reviews generates revenue from an optional Featured listing tier ($79+/month). Featured listings are clearly labeled, appear outside organic rankings, and do not affect the priority score formula. We do not accept payments to influence organic rankings, content recommendations, or editorial coverage. Conflicts of interest, when they occur, are disclosed inline.

How it works

Our research methodology

Every listing is verified against 8 data points: address, phone, real website, aggregate rating, review volume, recent review text, services, and operating hours. Our ranking formula is rating × ln(reviews + 1) — read the full methodology at /research.
