Dr. Gaonkar is knowledgeable and kind- never dismissive. Once when I was leaving he said, "don't worry we'll figure this out." I felt seen and knew he was on my team. I like being able to choose in person visits or video. Scheduling is easy and the office staff very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend!
I had the opportunity to do a clinical training as a postgrad MD with Dr. Gaonkar recently. Based on my prior experiences I can safely say that he definitely understands his patients needs, and works to address their individual concerns rather than use a “one show fits all” concept. He has many many years of experience in the mental health field and I have firsthand seen his expertise in practice.
My experience with this office is that they tend to suit your needs. They are friendly on the phone, and you can get into your doctors office pretty quickly. I found that my doctor was willing to help put me on medications that would suit my needs, and was patient with me while I cycled through various medications. I would recommend this office to someone who might be exhausted from their previous doctor. They also accept most insurances, so you might not have a big copay when you’re done.
I have all positive things to say about my psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for 15 years and to this day I am still under his care. He takes the time to listen too you're problems than if needed comes up withe right medication for your diagnosis. I have good things to say about the staff they are very helpful at answering questions.
