Coco Health Spa Georgetown Massage

This was, by far, the worst massage I have ever had in my life. My boyfriend and I came here last year around Valentine's Day and had a great experience so we decided to come back this year. When we arrived, they let us know there was a leak in the couple's massage room so they'd have to split us up into separate rooms - no problem. However, the masseuse I got was perplexingly, comedically terrible. I think this may have been the proprietor and my best guess was that they were short staffed so he stepped in. I felt like I was being jabbed and poked, it was so aggressive and genuinely painful. From the first minute I knew it was awful but tried to put up with it. I have a really hard time advocating for myself in these settings, if I go to a restaurant and they bring me the wrong meal, I'll eat it and thank them for it. Truthfully, if this were just a bad massage and I could have endured the 60 minutes, I would have done it, paid, and just never come back again. After 3-4 times asking for less pressure and still this man was beating up on my back and muscles, he kept pulling my hair on accident, he was moving so fast and in jerky motions I was having to brace myself and felt so tense and awful and I was genuinely worried that I'd have bruising or some type of injury. Finally, after about 30 minutes of internal debate, I broke and I said I'd like to stop the service please. He was understanding and apologetic, they offered to find someone else to do the service, but I was just done and so uncomfortable at that point, I wanted to get the hell out of there. The front desk staff were apologetic and told me I didn't have to pay but I insisted, and ultimately paid the full price for my boyfriend (who was still enjoying his massage in the other room) and for half of my service, because he did spend the time and I didn't want to feel like I owed them anything. I've had lots of different types of massages, and I understand that some reflexology/pressure point types of massages are meant to be more firm and forceful, but this was different, it was genuinely painful and bad. I'm surprised he couldn't tell that I was wincing and bracing myself the whole time. The price is uncommonly cheap, especially for Georgetown in 2026, and clearly you pay for what you get. I'll say my boyfriend said his massage was good, not great, but nothing like my experience. I'd say unless you have a go-to person you see here who you know is trustworthy, avoid at all costs.

Excellent massage! It was a different technique than I’ve been used to but it was excellent. Lucas has attention to detail, knows how to tell what areas need work and is kind. Highly recommend!

I had one of my best massages in DC Georgetown! The place is very cosy and clean and the therapists are very professional and hospitable! Such a nice experience! I came here several times and I really enjoyed the massage here. It also has couple massage and it's easy to book. You could book it online or by phone or you could just simply walk in! I have severe neck and back problem and it gets relieved every time after the massage! Strongly recommend to everyone!!
