I arrived 20 before my appointment time and checked in on the app. I thought that would be all I needed to do. All my insurance information, past medical history, signed the waiver, even paid my copay. After 30 minutes I was called up to the desk to give my insurance card. They asked how I would like to pay my copay. …… I informed that I had payed my copay on the app. “Great thanks!” Then I proceeded to wait another 30 minutes to even go back to a room to see the doc. The nurse and doctor were great and answered all the questions I had. There is no reason it should take over an hour to get back to a room if you have an opportunity to check in 20 minutes before your appointment time. That negates the whole point. It’s a nice place. The doctor was very nice. I will not be coming back though.

I just LOVE going to my appointments at Cahaba Dermatology. The people there are are so friendly and treat patients so well not like numbers. From the front desk to the doctors & staff they make the visit something to look foward to visit. Elizabeth & her assistant are friendly and so helpful. I met Chelsea in the products area and I asked her about a cosmetic procedure. She gave me samples in a cute gift bag for my wife & I to try. Chelsea was so nice! I LOVE Cahaba Derm!! Keep up the good work. Just an AWESOME place!! - Phil Phillips : )

Cahaba dermatology is very professional and always prompt. A.Ward normally sees me for my routine 6 month checks , she spotted a concerning spot , bx it and within a week I received the terrible news that it was in fact melanoma, the next day I was in the office with Dr Aksut having more removed to insure clear margins. I am so appreciative of the entire staff and cannot stress enough the importance of regular checkups because had this not been caught early it would’ve been a very different situation . They have educated me on the importance of proper sunscreen explaining the difference in the products.

Lisa Clarke

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Aksut! She is informative, gentle and so kind! Her bedside manner is top notch and I am so grateful I was in such wonderful hands throughout my mohs procedure.

Alicia Wierzbicki

It never fails that every time I have a dermatology appointment, they are constantly and consistently late to call me back. Guarantee that even if you show up 10 mins early, thy won’t call you back til 30-40 mins AFTER your scheduled time. They are nice enough, I guess. But the over scheduling is ridiculous. I can understand once or twice but it is EVERY TIME I have an appointment. They do not care. No apologies ever. Their time is valuable, but the patients time is not valuable apparently. 🙄 then once you get back there, they scan you so quickly you wonder if they even looked thoroughly enough to catch anything by. One time I even had to remind the doctor to check two different places because she was about to end beforehand. Stop over-scheduling and spend a little bit more time with your patients and their concerns.
