I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Michael Reinhorn and the team at Boston Hernia. From my very first consultation, Dr. Reinhorn was thorough, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to clearly explain both my umbilical and inguinal hernias, the recommended repair approach, and what to expect before, during, and after surgery. I immediately felt I was in expert hands. The surgery itself went smoothly, and my recovery is exceeded my expectations. The discomfort is there as expected but it’s far less than I anticipated. Dr. Reinhorn’s skill and experience was evident every step of the way. Beyond his surgical expertise, his bedside manner truly stands out. He could see I was nervous about the surgery and help set my mind at ease as much as he could. He is compassionate, approachable, and genuinely cares about his patients’ and their outcomes. I cannot say enough about Dr. Reinhorn and his practice. If anyone is considering hernia surgery at all, you must contact him. Don’t even think twice about it. This is my very first surgery ever (umbilical hernia repair with mesh), and I had many concerns over the process and procedures as well as recovery. Dr. Reinhorn and his staff showed me compassion every step of the way, and was able to explain everything in great detail to help ease my nerves. I was very nervous the day of the surgery, yet Dr. Reinhorn still helped to put me at ease. The surgery was very successful (quick and home in a few hours) and the recovery was as described by the team. I had inguinal hernia repair by Dr Michael Reinhorn of Boston Hernia six months ago. The repair has been holding very well. The process was comfortable. Dr Reinhorn is knowledgable with extensive experience of the inguinal hernia repair process. During the pre surgery evaluation he assessed the possibility of interference of a fatty growth I have in my abdomen and was able to carry out the surgical repair effectively. Newton-Wellesley hospital staff were excellent. I have not had any problems with the hernia repair. My hernia repair is performing perfectly. I think Dr Reinhorn’s extensive experience with hernia repair methods has made my experience the best possible.

I went to Boston Hernia after developing an inguinal hernia and I am so glad that I did. Dr. Reinhorn and the rest of the team are excellent. Dr. Reinhorn took the time to learn about me and my goals. He clearly explained my options, without any pressure to have surgery. I decided to have a no mesh Shouldice repair. My recovery went very smoothly and even immediately after surgery I was much more comfortable than I would have expected. Five weeks after my surgery I feel great and am doing all the things I want to do. I consulted with several surgical offices and Boston Hernia was the obvious choice. They specialize in hernia repairs and perform hundreds every year. They are also the only surgeons I found who utilize minimally invasive techniques with or without mesh. This allows for better results and a quicker recovery. If you have a hernia and are considering your options, I strongly encourage you to speak with Dr. Reinhorn or Dr. Fullington.

The process to address my inguinal hernia was seamless. Both his staff and Dr Reinhorn were thorough with their information from the initial visit through the procedure and the follow up. The procedure itself was on time and relatively quick. Post operative pain was very minor and lasted only a couple of days. 6 weeks past surgery so far so good!
