I had surgery with Dr. You in 2019 and the outcome was amazing. It’s now 2025 and I am in need of a revision because of a few complications. I was scheduled at the office of Dr. You and the day before my appointment they called and said that I needed a different referral. I then obtained that referral which included my insurance and other pertinent information. I drove all the way there only to be told that my insurance was not accepted. I asked if they could possibly refer me to another surgeon and was rudely told to call my insurance company by the front desk representative. I was embarrassed and disappointed. Embarrassed because she shouted that my insurance wouldn’t cover my visit then disappointed because of the treatment received. They are definitely not the people I’d want as representatives of my practice! Hopefully things will get better.

Managing check in was not the best thing to master. It was a brand-new way of checking in for me, compared to checking in at other doctor offices, and I felt the questions and mistakes were a bit annoying to the receptionist, but maybe I was thinking wrongly, maybe a bit of paranoia. The meeting with Dr. Abdo went very well, he seemed to be caring and understanding. I was not happy that I had to have my Gall Bladder completely removed, but he made me feel comfortable about receiving the surgical procedure in the near future. So, I think my first visit to this office in White Marsh went pretty well.

I had my gastric sleeve surgery in March of 2024 and it was the best decision I ever made. Choosing Dr You was the best decision. His bedside manners are impeccable and he did an amazing job. My scars aren’t noticeable and Jasmine the nurse practitioner is wonderful as well.
