☆☆☆☆Mark Paschkov

Until this last year always had great treatment from St Luke’s. I can’t say I’ve had bad treatment or good treatment in the past year because I’ve had NO TREATMENT! My primary doctor sent them a surgery consult early last July and said I should be getting a call in next week or two. No call, 4 weeks later I call and I get an appointment for October. September comes and they call me saying they need to reschedule my appointment due to the doctor will now be out of the office that day so they reschedule me for end of February. Well 2 weeks ago I get a call, same thing. Need to reschedule due to doctor won’t be in the office that day and they wanted to reschedule it a month out again. So I kindly told them to just cancel my appointment all together and I would go to St Al’s because apparently they don’t want my business and money. To my surprise the lady says “Ok Mr. Paschkov, I’ve cancelled your appointment, have a good day”. REALLY? No sorry for all the problems or sorry for having to change your appointment again, just ok have a good day. Well I called my primary care physician and asked him to refer me to St Al’s. That was on a Monday. The next day St Al’s called and I got in two days later and scheduled for surgery a few weeks later. So it’s now the next day and St Luke’s calls and wants to reschedule my urology appointment in August this year because the doctor is now going to be out of the office that day. I told them to cancel it altogether and I would move that care over to St Al’s also. Moral of the story! St Luke’s don’t care about patients anymore. They got to big and to busy counting all their money they have made lately to take care of people in need!

I just had my baby 4 days ago here and I just wanted to come and shoutout some of the amazing staff who made my experience amazing. I had my epidural go wrong the first time and it was a little bit traumatizing to say the least. However, after some time I decided to try again with an anesthesiologist named Todd. He was amazing in explaining what went wrong the first time and how he would be willing to try again if I was. I decided to try again and in 5 mins or so he did the epidural and was amazing at explaining what he was doing as he did it. It was great and he made the pain that much less during my labor. I had 2 nurses named Emilie C. and Tianna C. These two lovely ladies helped me tremendously!! They were so sweet and were by my side through my whole labor. Emilie was my daytime nurse and Tia was my night nurse. Both of them helped ease me so much during my labor. Tia assisted me in the bath to ease my contractions and verbally helped me through it. Emilie was also so helpful during my pushing of the baby. She counted with me during pushing and made me feel so strong mentally. Childbirth is stressful on the body and these two ladies made my experience than much better. If I did it all over again, I would absolutely request these staff as they are simply amazing!

Before I go into the review, I will state that the Doctors and nurses were nothing but amazing, and this review is not a reflection on them. It is a reflection on the St.Lukes (who is rolling in his grave) administration and system. Firstly, it is 4900 per day in the hospital. That is just flat charge for room, regular care. Now, while I understand that surgery is billed higher, 98 minutes in surgery were billed at 36,000. Then recovery was billed at 3750 first hour, 1600 second hour. And it doesn't end there. "Nursery services" for a baby that was barely handled at all, as it was with mother and father 100% of the time, is billed 3500/day INCLUDING THE DISCHARGE DAY on top of that. Again, for a baby that was essentially only handled for the newborn screen, which was billed separately. Then discharge was billed for both mother AND baby. All in all the hospital billed right around 100,000 for everything. For 4 days. Well, I know that one is better off dying than going to a hospital. I simply have no words for what I would consider nothing other than fraud. Any other developed country would have told them to go where the sun doesn't shine. Fun fact, medical costs are the #1 leading cause of bankruptcy. I wonder why.

I had surgery here today, and thankfully everything went perfectly. The hospital was easy to navigate. My pre-op and post-op nurses Katherine and Emily were so kind and attentive, my anesthesiology nurse Irene was sweet as well. Dr. Diggs the anesthesiologist laid out both options for me, Dr. Harmon the mfm specialist is amazing! By far one of my favorite doctors I've ever seen.

★★★★★James Rauch

My wife delivered a baby here. The staff, nurses, doctors were all amazing. We did however have some billing discrepancies and after speaking to their billing department and our insurance provider multiple times with no resolution I felt extremely frustrated and left a poor review based solely on their billing practices. I replied to their request to contact their patient relations department and spoke to two people one to file the complaint and another to help find a solution. They offered further explanation, validated our grievances, admitted fault, and willingly adjusted the bill to what we collectively deemed fair. Overall very impressed. Would encourage anyone with a valid billing complaint to contact their patient relations department. I really felt it was important to them for us to feel treated fairly.
