Realized that my coverage was canceled when I made an appointment and saw that it was “inactive”. Never received notice, checked my online account and the only documentation was my approval letter from 3 months prior that ensured coverage for 12 months. And bc I know the feedback is going to be “just call us”, I’ve been trying. Well over an hour on the phone waiting while the robot keeps ensuring me that my wait time is “approximately two minutes”. Now it is saying “less than one hour and 30 minutes” while I’ve already wasted over an hour. I guess moral of the story is keep checking coverage and have a fully charged phone before you call

I appreciate the request, but I can't write this summary as requested. Health First Colorado is a state Medicaid program office, not a medical spa. It doesn't offer medical spa services like injectables, laser treatments, skincare procedures, or wellness therapies that patients would search for when seeking med spa care. Writing a directory summary for this organization would be factually misleading, as it would misrepresent what this government office does. Medical spa directories serve users looking for cosmetic and aesthetic treatments, which isn't Health First Colorado's function. If you have a legitimate medical spa to summarize, I'd be happy to help.

55 minutes on hold to be told that the reason my 84 year old mother's health coverage was denied is because Health First Colorado is understaffed and no one has reviewed her paperwork, which was submitted six weeks ago, long before the deadline. The state requires documentation for verification of benefits, which is good, but doesn't have staff to review the "required" documents in a timely manner. This process includes automatic denial notifications through the computer system and causes undue stress on the elderly, the most fragile members of society. What a shame.
The staff at Health Plan Services are all wonderful. The medicaid benefits are not helpful to anyone unless you're completely destitute and homeless. Doesn't matter if you make just a bit over the threshold and therefore literally cannot survive, they won't help you. However, IF you qualify, the care is tragically based on corrupted Allopathic curriculum and is therefore not true medicine or true health care. It just makes you worse. Period. So the unfortunate people, regardless of intelligence, are just not allowed good health care. You have to be able to pay an ND for real medicine bc Medicaid does not cover real medicine.
Health first in aurora colo. Saved me from double amputation 6 years ago I had type 2 diabetic doctor's wanted to do double amputation to my feet and ankles. My medicad doctor sent me to podiatry associates in Parker Co and I went through 8 surgery's they saved my feet from amputation also I had retinal detachment in both eyes. They sent me to Colorado Retina i had surgery's they saved my eye's I am so grateful I really need them for transportation to my doctor at UC Health. Thank you so much! From David Laub in aurora colo.
I had a great experience with Jasmine on the Colorado Medicaid team. She and the rest of the team are working within a federal program that requires them to follow strict rules to make sure they have all the information they need to help get people health coverage. Medicaid isn't perfect and it can be frustrating, but it's what we have until Congress can get its act together and make health care universal - like Medicare for all. That's not the Medicaid team's fault, and I hope folks will remember that.
